Who we are. What we are Doing.
We are a group of Ithaca College MBA students who are working on a live event project as part of our curriculum.
We are hosting a week long festival of events, activities and performances based on the fringe festival model with the overall theme being the lake creature Old Greeny. Our festival will take place in unconventional venues within one block of the waterfront along the Cayuga Lake waterfront trail ranging from Cherry Street to Stewart Park. 2026 will be our inaugural year of this festival. We look forward to hosting this event for many years to come.
Our mission is to celebrate Ithaca’s creativity and history through sustainable, zero-waste events that bring people together, spark adventure, and showcase the region’s weird and wonderful spirit—building a community tradition that lasts.
Safety
We prioritize the well-being of all participants, ensuring a secure and accessible environment.
Fun
Joy is at the heart of our festival—we create experiences that delight, energize, and bring people back year after year.
Adventure
We embrace curiosity and exploration, encouraging attendees to seek out the unexpected and celebrate the wonderfully weird.
Self-Expression
Everyone is invited to show up as themselves. We uplift creativity, individuality, and the vibrant diversity of our community.
Storytelling
We honor the land, the people, and the history of this place by sharing stories—old and new—that connect us and keep the legacy of Old Greeny alive.
